The Better Belfast post-lockdown re-start!

Updated: Jan 7

After a long absence due to the pandemic, our group (with a few conditions and measures in place) was finally able to meet up again in person and get back to our important mission!

If you were one of the attendees on Wednesday 10th November 2021, thank you so very much for coming along to our ‘re-start’ event. The pandemic has made meeting up face-to-face so much more difficult but ultimately very rewarding.

It was great to meet face to face in a room with like-minded people again. It shows the professionalism and unflappability of our group that fire alarms (yes plural), did not stop the show!

If you could not attend, you really missed out. We had some great networking, engaging conversations, outstanding presentations and eventually a decent lunch! To ensure that our presenting organisations, Young Enterprise NI and One Young World, do not fall from your memory I am attaching some information. I am strongly encouraging you to reach out to Rachel from Visit Belfast and Carol from YENI to find out more.

Young Enterprise NI… Carol asks that you get involved by visiting in person at the ‘Big Market’, St Georges Market on December 8th 2021. Get tickets here – OUR YOUNG PEOPLE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT!!!

Carol is also keen to speak with those interested in volunteering as advisors, assessors and contributors.

One Young World… the conference which will take over Belfast in 2023 asks you spread the word! This event will be absolutely huge, expectations are that corporate involvement will be hotly contested.

Links are below but ask Rachel for more info.

Next meeting will take place in February 2022 and I hope we have more in person attendees then. Thanks for persevering and lets hope we get back to normal soon!
